On the third day of mobility, the group traveled around the island to visit places such as Calheta, the Natural Swimming Pools of Porto Moniz and the Volcanism Centre of San Vicente where the origin of the island of Madeira was explained.

After these visits, they enjoyed a meal at the “Barbusano Farmhouse”, with a biological wine origin. The owner, a Venezuelan immigrant, explained his harsh beginnings and guided the group on a visit through the vineyards.

The students and teachers enjoyed a splendid “espetada” a typical Madeira dish made with veal meat and some aromatic herbs, all inserted in a laurel branch.

Subsequently, the group visited Cabo Girao Skywalk, a popular lookpoint located on a glass platform on the top of Cabo Girao at 580 meters of altitude, where they enjoyed wonderful views.

Around 6pm we returned to Funchal where the host families were waiting for them.
